Love comes in all shapes and sizes, so we took a journey through the Victoria’s Secret offices to see how some of the team is celebrating the most romantic day of the year.
Julia – Sr. Specialist Marketing, Victoria’s Secret
Julia is newly engaged (congrats!). She and her fiancé have been together for five-and-a-half years. They met in college when they were paired together for a group project, then reconnected years later on a dating app, it’s basically classic rom-com material.
How are you and your fiancé spending Valentine’s?
“We always try to use V-Day as an excuse to find a unique date night in the city beyond just sharing a meal together. In the past, we’ve spent Valentine’s Day at an intimate cooking class, dinner and a show with a jazz band, and painting mugs in a pottery class. Some ideas I’ve been eyeing for this year include cocktail making, ice skating, or a wine tasting experience!”
Alexiah – Sr. Web Designer, Victoria’s Secret
Lexi and her boyfriend just moved in together after dating for two years. They met on Tinder, and it was a match made in app-heaven.
How are you spending Valentine’s?
“We love to have a nice romantic dinner, hopefully with some nice surprises!”
Olivia – Associate Designer, Victoria’s Secret
Oliva is a single gal living in the city playing the dating game. She loves being single, seeing it as “An incredible opportunity to truly get to know yourself on the deepest level, as the personal growth that comes with building your life independently is something that will only strengthen a future relationship.” We love that.
How are you spending Valentine’s?
“My friends and I are having an over-the-top Galentine’s evening. Wearing our favorite silk pajama sets, baking heart-shaped cookies, making chocolate-covered strawberries, and having a rom-com marathon. My personal favorite part about Valentine’s Day is having an extra excuse to shower the people I care about with love! Gift-giving is my love language, so I find so much enjoyment in to finding little ways to make my friends and loved ones feel special and appreciated, whether that’s with a bouquet of flowers or homemade baked goods.”
Jess – Copy Director, PINK
Jess and her husband have been married for 16 years, and together for 18. Graeme was the Irish bartender at her local pub when she first moved to New York City. It was friends first, with him professing his love for her one night. The rest is history.
How are you spending Valentine’s?
“We will probably spend the evening on the couch with Graeme cooking my favorite meal (probably tacos if I’m being honest) and a witty card exchange (nothing sappy allowed!). Sometimes our two cats even participate.”
