Mayowa Nicholas Joins the Cast of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2024

We’re so excited to announce that Mayowa Nicholas will officially be hitting the runway with us very soon. We sat down with the long-time VS model to talk all things fashion show, career, and life off the catwalk.

Q: How does it feel to be a part of the show’s return?

A: “It feels incredible, I’m excited!”

Q: What are you most excited about?

A: “For me, it’s all about hanging out with the incredible women backstage. One of the coolest parts of fashion shows is the backstage vibe with the girls—it’s like a sisterhood. And of course, I’m super excited about the glam, the wings, and honestly, just everything!”

Q: What do you think the show’s return means for other women?

A: “It’s a global celebration of women, showcasing diversity and inclusivity. When women unite to empower each other, it creates pure magic.”

Q: First memory with Victoria’s Secret?

A: “I remember getting the call from my agent that I had booked the VS show back in 2018. That was a special moment in my career; I’ll always remember that.”

Q: What’s one thing you wish people knew about you?

A: “My personality.”

Q: How do you feel most strong?

A: “When I’m connected and true to my essence, surrounded by loved ones, and positively impacting those around me.”

Q: What are you most excited to see return?

A: “WINGS!!!”

Q: Similarly, what are you most excited to see change?

A: “I would say the runway impact. I think the fans are excited to see their favorite models walk on the runway; there’s a thrill about it and that brings excitement.”

Q: How do you prepare yourself for the runway?

A: “Honestly, it’s about creating the right space and energy, and I think that’s where backstage plays a role. Lots of music (afrobeats, amapiano, etc.) and just good vibes in general.”
