This Giving Tuesday, PINK Celebrates The Jed Foundation

This holiday season and beyond, we’re proud to highlight and support The Jed Foundation (JED) in its mission to protect the emotional health of young adults. Since 2020, we’ve partnered with the national nonprofit on our core pillar of mental health, focusing on empowering our community to embrace their most authentic selves, build meaningful connections, overcome challenges, and live their best lives.

A Spotlight on Our Partnership

Together, we’re striving to make a difference. To date, PINK has donated over $2.5 million toward JED’s work with young adults, including the following programs:

· JED Campus partners with over 440 colleges and universities through a collaborative, four-year process to empower schools to build supportive systems and policies that prioritize mental health and suicide prevention. Mental health issues are the leading reasons college students struggle and drop out. A recently released 10-year study found that schools completing the JED Campus program had lower rates of student anxiety, depression, and suicide attempts, as well as higher retention and graduation rates.

· Set to Go helps high school students, families, and educators navigate the transition from high school to college or other post-secondary paths—one of the most pivotal moments in a young person’s life that can shape their future success. With PINK’s support, Set to Go has reached over 2 million teens and their families, offering resources to develop essential life skills, manage stress, and prioritize mental health during this critical period.

· The Press Pause Hub, created by JED and PINK, offers college students and young adults simple video practices, tips, and resources—like movement, breathwork, meditation, and affirmations—to proactively support their emotional health and navigate life’s stressors.

Our Partnership in Action

To introduce PINK’s community to mental health awareness and JED’s mission in new and engaging ways, we’ve collaborated on numerous events and campaigns, including:

· 2024’s PINK with PurposeProject, a collaboration with JED that awarded ten Gen Z changemakers $25,000 grants to expand impactful initiatives addressing mental health, accessibility, climate recovery, equity, suicide prevention, and community empowerment. Awardees also participated in a six-month mentorship program and were celebrated at an awards summit in New York City.

· A “Back to ______” fall campaign tour as the pandemic was ending to help young adults enter back into the world with intention, gratitude, and a focus on self-care.

· Annual Mental Health Month campaigns that encourage the PINK community to explore different ways to support their mental health and be there for friends.

· A “Press Paws” event to bring therapy dogs to students at Penn State

· Ongoing mental health content on social channels

Looking Ahead

We’re excited to continue partnering with JED in the future on mental health awareness, programs, and events. Additionally, PINK will be honored with the Corporate Voice of Mental Health Award at JED’s 2025 Gala in June. This award is presented annually to recognize corporate organizations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to promoting mental health awareness and implementing initiatives supporting the emotional well-being of young people.
