Behind the Seams: Everything You Need to Know About Victoria’s Secret’s First-Ever, Ready-to-Wear Collaboration with Joseph Altuzarra

Atelier Victoria’s Secret x Altuzarra

This month, Victoria’s Secret introduces its first-ever, ready-to-wear collection in collaboration with Joseph Altuzarra, our premier designer-in residence. Now, you can attain Altuzarra’s sophisticated look with limited-edition pieces exclusively designed for our Atelier Victoria’s Secret line.

“The goal was to combine Altuzarra’s expertise in ready-to-wear with Victoria’s Secret expertise in lingerie,” says Priscilla Polley, AVP of design and styling director, who worked closely with Altuzarra on the collection.

“With this partnership, I wanted to bring my design perspective to a brand known for celebrating femininity and sensuality,” says Altuzarra. “I focused on pieces that felt effortless and sensual, and imbued them with subtle elements of discovery ––classic wardrobe styles, but always with a twist.”

The result is an exquisitely chic capsule created for the modern wardrobe. From precision-cut tailoring to a gorgeously draped dress, the craftsmanship and attention to detail at the heart of Altuzarra’s work are on full display.

Who is the Altuzarra muse?

For starters, she’s got main character energy, and a taste for all things luxury.

Picture this: A well-known fashion icon glides into the hotel lobby for a meeting over espresso. She’s got that certain je ne sais quoi and there’s something beautifully nonchalant about her, which reveals a softness and approachability.

As for her outfit? Whether it’s a distinctively tailored suit or a luxurious knit set with just-so proportions, the world is her runway—we’re just living in it. A stolen glance at the label on the inside of her jacket whispers to confirm what insiders might’ve guessed: She’s wearing Altuzarra.

It’s All About the Details

Each piece invites you in for a closer look. A cinematic satin coat shrugs to reveal an unexpected set of crystal-encrusted straps discreetly sewn into the lining. A classic shirt—made to be cuffed and styled as desired—transitions to a bodysuit cut for tucking in.

“We aimed to bring head-to-toe, lingerie-inspired ‘outerwear’ looks to our customers, either by styling them with bras or by incorporating lingerie details into the apparel,” said Polley.

Her favorite look here: an exceptionally soft, ribbed tank and long skirt with hook & eye closures. “The sleek, ‘90s silhouette and lingerie-inspired details in these knit styles reflect Joseph’s intentional design approach, merging elements from both brands,” she says.

“Joseph is a true master of tailoring,” Polley enthused. “Every woman can appreciate how incredible she feels in a flawlessly fitted dress, and we’re thrilled to bring this level of craftsmanship to our customers.”
