PINK + JED: Five years of Impact for Gen Z Mental Health

PINK is all about celebrating the teen and young adult years with authenticity, joy, and self-expression, embracing the moment while working toward what’s next. That philosophy has everything to do with mental health: self-care, being present, and finding connection. Research also shows that mental health is one of the top issues Gen Z cares about.

That’s why, in 2020, PINK made mental health a core part of its purpose and chose The Jed Foundation (JED), a leading nonprofit focused on protecting the emotional well-being of teens and young adults, as its primary partner. JED brings the expertise and programming; PINK brings resources, reach, and a relatable voice. Together, we’ve helped millions of young adults feel seen, supported, and inspired.

Over the past five years, PINK has given more than $3 million in direct support to JED and over $5 million total to mental health organizations and efforts. We’ve supported programs like JED Campus, which helps colleges build systems that promote emotional well-being and student success, and Set to Go, which equips high school students and their families to navigate the emotional transition into college or the workplace. Donations have also amplified mental health storytelling and peer support—helping young adults feel more confident checking in on themselves and their friends.

We’ve also launched new collaborations that bring mental health to life in fresh, creative ways, including the Press Pause Hub with simple tools like breathwork, movement, and affirmations, and a mental health workshop designed for content creators. In 2024, we teamed up on PINK with Purpose Project, a legacy program awarding $25,000 grants to young advocates supporting mental health and community connection, with added guidance and mentoring from JED.

Mental health has also become part of how we support each other internally—with JED-informed events, video series, and conversations encouraging us to be more proactive about our well-being as individuals and as a team.

On June 4th, The Jed Foundation will honor PINK with the Corporate Voice of Mental Health Award at its annual Gala in New York City. We’re proud of this recognition—but even more proud of the work we’ve done together and the impact we’ve had.

For this generation, mental health isn’t just a moment—it’s a movement. And we’re here for all of it.
